Step 1
Boiler water, add in the rice. It takes quite a while since the rice has to get soft and all of the water should evaporate to have a porridge-like texture.
Step 2
Mix together the ingredients for the sauce.
Step 3
Pouch the egg in boiling water and cut the scallions.
Step 4
Add the finished porridge into the bowls and top with egg, scallions and sauce or any other toppings you'd like.
