Instructions

Step 1
Brown the Pasta: Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ditalini and brown it for a few minutes.
Step 2
Add the white wine and allow it to evaporate
Step 3
Simmer: Begin adding 1 cup of beef broth, a little at a time, and cook for about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Add Soup & Cook: Stir in the can of French onion soup and the remaining broth. Cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the pasta is tender.
Step 5
Make it Creamy: Remove the lid, stir in the remaining butter and the entire package of Boursin cheese. If the sauce is too thick, add extra broth or water to reach the desired consistency.
Step 6
Top and Melt: Season with salt and pepper, top with grated Gruyère, cover, and let the cheese melt.
