Instructions

Step 1
In a large pot, put macaroni, broccoli, milk, water, salt, garlic powder. Stir to combine. (Pasta may not be fully submerged. That is ok.) bring to an active simmer over medium high heat. Reduce to medium and a gentle simmer. Cook, stirring often to ensure even cooking and to keep from sticking to bottom of pot, until pasta is tender & liquid resembles heavy cream, 8-12 minutes. If you can’t see liquid between pasta, add 1/2 cup water. Adjust heat to keep gentle simmer.
Step 2
When pasta is finished, remove from heat. Add cheddar and mustard powder. Stir until cheddar is incorporated. Taste & season with salt & pepper. Serve hot sauce on side.
