Honey Glazed Carrots and Green Beans

Instructions
Step 1
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the sliced carrots and cook for 4 minutes
Add green beans to the pot with the carrots and cook 'or an additional 3 minutes.
Step 2
Drain the vegetables and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain again and set aside.
Step 3
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
Add the garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in the honey, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 1 minute.
Add the drained carrots and green beans to the skillet and toss to coat in the glaze.
Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are heated through and evenly glazed.
Remove from heat and drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
