This gelato has a mild lemon flavor, using only fresh-squeezed lemon juice for the flavor. The original recipe was modified for my 1.5 qt machine.

Instructions
Step 1
Wash and squeeze the lemons. This will require about 4-5 lemons
Step 2
Strain the lemon juice through fine strainer to remove seeds and pulp (or leave the pulp in).
Step 3
Add the sugar and stir.
Step 4
Add the heavy cream, then the milk. Mix thoroughly to dissolve the sugar.
Step 5
Freeze in a quality ice cream machine. This may be served immediately after freezing. Gelato is traditionally served softer than ice cream.
