Instructions

Step 1
Add the edamame, kale, basil, garlic, jalapeños, miso paste, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, and a big pinch of salt to a food processor. Blend on low, then slowly increase to high. If the mixture is too thick, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water or olive oil at a time until it blends smoothly. Do not add too much at once. Taste and adjust. Add more lemon juice or salt if needed. This recipe usually needs a little extra lemon juice to brighten it up. Blend one more time until everything is combined. Spoon into an airtight container. To help prevent browning, smooth the top and squeeze a little lemon juice over it before storing.
