Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2
In a separate bowl mix flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder. Set aside.
Step 3
Cream together butter and sugars until combined. (Using whisk or KitchenAid)
Step 4
Beat in eggs and vanilla until fluffy.
Step 5
Mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
Step 6
Add chocolate chips and mix well.
Step 7
Roll 2-3 TBS (depending on how large you like your cookies) of dough at a time into balls and place them evenly spaced on your prepared cookie sheets. (alternately, use a small cookie scoop to make your cookies).
Step 8
Bake in preheated oven for approximately 8-12 minutes. Take them out when they are just BARELY starting to turn brown. (The bigger the longer the bake, the ones you ate were cooked 12 minutes).
Step 9
Let them sit on the baking pan for at least 2 minutes, 5 is better, before removing to cooling rack, or eating them fresh lol.
Notes
Step 10
If you use imitation vanilla, I up it to 2-3 Tbsp instead. Real vanilla is more powerful (and expensive)
Step 11
Mix well, it is a stiff dough. But have with strong mixers is the best way.
