Ingredients
1 servings
2 packetsinstant cream of wheat
or sub instant cups or original
1 ⅓ cupwater
boiling, microwaved or kettle or coffee maker
maple syrup
or sub sugar or vanilla sugar
3 dashescinnamon powder
0.5 spoonfulvanilla extract
or sub vanilla powder or vanilla sugar
10fresh cherries
pitted, or sub strawberries or dried cranberries
Instructions
Step 1
Pour 2 packets instant Cream of Wheat into a soup bowl. Boil water in microwave for 2 min or use a kettle or coffee maker.
Step 2
Add water to bowl and stir with spoon. Let rest while you cut up fruit.
Step 3
Halve and pit 10 fresh cherries, or use frozen dethawed or freeze dried. Feel free to sub with fresh or freeze dried strawberries. You could also sub with dried cranberries
Step 4
When Cream of Wheat is thick, add a drizzle of maple syrup, 1/2 spoonful of vanilla extract, and 3 dashes of cinnamon powder. I measured the vanilla with a regular sized spoon. Feel free to sub vanilla with vanilla powder or vanilla bean paste. You could even sub the maple syrup and vanilla with vanilla sugar (sugar+vanilla powder).
Step 5

This makes 1 bowl or 1 serving.
Step 6
Appearances are deceiving! It's not the prettiest but it is filling, tasty, and soft.
Step 7
Tip: You can use a regular non-instant box of Cream of Wheat too, or even the instant Cream of Wheat travel cups.
