Here is a quick 10-minute method for pickled onions:
Ingredients
1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
½ cup apple cider vinegar (or white vinegar)
½ cup warm water
1 tbsp sugar
1½ tsp salt
Instructions
Mix the liquid: In a jar or bowl, whisk the warm water, vinegar, sugar, and salt together until the sugar and salt dissolve.
Submerge onions: Pack the sliced onions tightly into the jar, ensuring they are completely covered by the liquid.
Rest: Let sit at room temperature for 15 to 30 minutes.
