Instructions

Step 1
1. Wash your rice, and add to your rice cooker with water or bone broth

2. To a bowl, add your soy sauce, hondashi, mirin, and sugar. Mix to combine.

3. Add your diced chicken and thinly sliced onions and toss to coat in the sauce.

4. Put onion & chicken mixture directly over the rice in the rice cooker, being sure to pour over any of the remaining sauce. Set aside the bowl to use next step.

5. Cook as you normally would cook rice. While it's cooking, to your bowl, crack your 3 eggs and beat with chopsticks or a fork for just 20 seconds.

6. Immediately after the rice is done cooking, quickly open the rice cooker, pour your egg mixture over the chicken and rice and shut it again quickly. Turn on the rice cooker again (on regular rice setting) and allow to cook for 2 minutes.
Step 7
7. Open rice cooker and serve, garnishing with green onions and roasted sesame seeds.
