Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Step 2
Trim off any hanging leaves and cut off the ends of the Brussels sprouts, then cut them in half or quarters as preferred.
Step 3
Blanch the halved sprouts in boiling water for 1 to 1.5 minutes to enhance their color and lower bitterness. Immediately transfer them to an ice water bath to stop the cooking, then dry them thoroughly.
Step 4
Place the bacon on a sheet tray and bake in the oven.
Step 5
Toss the dried Brussels sprouts with the reserved bacon fat (or olive oil), onion powder, garlic powder, red chili flakes, salt, and black pepper until fully coated.
Step 6
Add the seasoned Brussels sprouts to the sheet tray alongside the bacon. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25 to 30 minutes.
Step 7
Chop the cooked bacon. Toss a portion of the chopped bacon and a drizzle of balsamic glaze with the roasted Brussels sprouts. Return the tray to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 8
Top with extra balsamic glaze and the remaining crispy bacon before serving.
