Instructions
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 425°F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
Step 2
Spread the Alfredo sauce across the bottom of the casserole dish. Add the dry penne pasta, shredded chicken, finely chopped broccoli, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper.
Step 3
Stir everything thoroughly so the pasta, chicken, and broccoli are evenly distributed and the pasta is completely coated in the creamy sauce.
Step 4
Cover the casserole tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 35–45 minutes, stirring halfway through. Cover again and continue baking until the pasta is tender.
Step 5
Remove the foil and stir the casserole once more.
Step 6
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella or Italian-blend cheese evenly over the entire surface.
Step 7
Broil for a few minutes until the cheese is completely melted, bubbly, and lightly golden. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
