Instructions
Step 1
Grate the potatoes and onion.
Step 2
Then, finely dice the chicken fillet.
Step 3
Combine everything. Add mayonnaise, black pepper, salt, and garlic. Mix well.
Step 4
Crack the eggs into a bowl, add the kefir and a pinch of salt. Mix everything together using a whisk or an electric mixer.
Step 5
Add the sifted flour and mix until smooth.
Step 6
Next, add the baking powder and mix again until well combined. The batter should have a medium-thick consistency.
Step 7
Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil. Pour half of the batter into the dish.
Step 8
Spread the filling in an even layer on top—be careful not to press down on it!
Step 9
Pour the remaining batter over the filling.
Step 10
Place the dish in an oven preheated to 400°F (200°C) and bake the chicken and potato pie for 60 minutes, or until fully cooked. I have a gas oven, and I bake it for about an hour and 15 minutes. You can check if the pie is done using a toothpick.
