Spicy crispy chickpeas

A delicious snack that can be eaten hot out of the oven or cold in a picnic, using canned chickpeas.

Instructions
Step 1
Heat the oven to a high temperature (around gas mark 8 or 230 C.
Step 2
Put the drained canned chickpeas on a clean teatowel or kitchen roll and pat to ensure they are as dry as possible.
Step 3
Put the oil and spices into a lidded container and stir the spices into the oil.
Step 4
Put the chickpeas into the container with the oil and spices and shake together until the chickpeas are coated.
Step 5
Put the chickpeas onto a piece of baking paper or parchment and place them on a tray in the oven. Leave to roast for 10 minutes.
Step 6
Shake the chickpeas around on the tray and return to the oven for another 15 -20 minutes until the chickpeas are crispy.
Step 7
Serve spicy chickpeas in a bowl or leave on the tray until cool and keep in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
