Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Top a large baking sheet with a wire rack and set aside.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the sliced okra with the avocado oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to evenly coat.
Step 3
Arrange the okra on top of the wire rack in a single layer. (Do not overcrowd the pan or let any pieces overlap, or the okra will not crisp up. You may need to use two baking sheets.) Roast for 25 to 30 minutes, until the okra is golden brown and crispy.
Step 4
Serve hot.
