Step 1
Preheat oven to 425°F. fit 1 piecrust into a deep 9inch pie dish.

Mix apples, lemon juice, sugar, salt, cornstarch, and spices in a large bowl until apples are coated.

Place the apple mixture into the pastry lined pie dish, spreading out evenly and then scatter the butter pieces over the top.
Step 4
Fit the top crust over the apple mixture, wrap the excess top crust under the bottom crust around the edges. Press the edges together to seal, flute.
Step 5
Brush the top crust with the cream. Make slits in the top crust with a knife or small cookie cutter to vent steam. Sprinkle the sugar on top.
