Ingredients
8 servings
pie crust
premade
2 poundsplums
½ cupsugar
⅓ cupquick oats
1 Tbspvanilla extract
optional
1 Tbspunsalted butter
1 tspcinnamon
For the crumble crust
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425
Step 2
Lay pie crust in a well seasoned oiled 10" cast iron pan
Step 3
Quarter plums and lay in the pie crust
Step 4
Sprinkle the sugar, oats, and cinnamon evenly over the top
Step 5
Drip the vanilla extract over the top of the plums
Step 6
Cut butter into small pats and spread evenly over the plums
Step 7
Combine all of the crust ingredients in a bowl and stir until evenly mixed. Sprinkle over the top of the pie and gently pat down
Step 8
Use a fork to roll down the edges of the pie crust
Step 9
Bake for 12 minutes at 425, then turn oven down to 350 and bake an additional 22 minutes or until plums are tender
Step 10
Let cool and serve with whipped topping
