Instructions

Heat oven to 350 degrees

grease pan with butter focusing on the creases

lightly flour pan

whisk together flour baking powder baking soda and salt until just mixed

stir in orange zest cranberries and pecans, make sure that the orange zest is spread around completely in the flour, no clumps. Make sure that everything is mixed in well and there are no big clumps of flour.
Step 6
In a separate bowl incorporate the butter and sugar together, add one egg to the butter and sugar mixture. After incorporating the egg, stir in the orange juice.
Step 7
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring so that you do not break the cranberries and everything is incorporated evenly without over mixing.

Transfer the mixture to the loaf pan. Spread evenly with in the pan. Place in the center rack on the oven and cook for one hour.

Making the glaze:

you can 1/2 the glaze recipe if you want a lighter glaze.
Step 11
Slowly add in the orange juice and zest to the confectioners sugar until the glaze looks just right.
Step 12
Let the loaf cool for 20 minutes, and then you can either take it out of the loaf or leave it in the loaf pan apply the glaze to the top.
