Instructions

Step 1
Stir bran cereal and boiling water and cover until cool.
Step 2
Mix sugar and shortening, add eggs and buttermilk. Stir in bran mix. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and dates. Mix well.
Step 3
Pam muffin tins well and fill muffin tins 2/3 full.
Step 4
Bake 25 min @ 375 °F.
