Instructions

Step 1
Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl
Step 2
Cut up the butter and cream cheese, crumble it with the dry ingredients using a fork so everything is combined and crumbley.
Step 3
Add in the milk, rough mix with fork.
Step 4
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface, knead it so it comes together more, folding it so the biscuits will be tall, pat out the dough with your hands until about ½" thick.
Step 5
Use a cup to make the round biscuit shape. *DO NOT twist the cup unless you want short biscuits*
Step 6
Fold dough, pat out again, cut more biscuits until all the dough is used up.
Step 7
Put cast iron in cold oven, heat to 425
Step 8
Leave the biscuits on the work surface until the skillet is ready.
Step 9
When the oven is to temp, take the cast iron out, toss in a chunk of butter to melt.
Step 10
After the butter melts, put the biscuits in upside down then turn over so both sides are buttered. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Step 11
Turn the broiler on to get the tops as brown as you'd like after the bottoms are browned.
