Step 1
Bring a gallon of water to a boil in a large pot

Peel and cut potatoes into even chunks and add to water

Brown the ground beef adding the Italian seasoning and season all

Drain the grease from the ground beef

Add milk and melted butter to potatoes and mash until combined seasoning with salt and pepper to taste

Bring beef broth to a boil adding the bouillon cubes at this time, combine the corn starch with about a 1/3 of a cup of cold water and stir vigorously before adding to the boiling broth continue to stir the broth as it thickens and allow to simmer for a couple of minutes to cook off any starchy flavors

Thoroughly Combine the thickened broth with the ground beef and canned vegetables in a baking dish and top evenly with the mashed potatoes leave the top a little rough if you like crispy bits

Bake at 375 for 25 minutes in the middle rack change your oven to its broiler setting for 5 or so minutes to lightly brown the potatoes remove from oven and cover evenly with cheese return to oven until melted and browned
