15mltomato purée

300mlvegetable stock

ground mace
10mldried mixed herbs pepper
freshly ground
Instructions
Step 1

1. Heat butter and oil in a saucepan. Add onion and garlic and fry until golden.
Step 2
2. Stir in tomatoes, tomato puree, stock, mace and herbs.
Step 3
3. Season to taste.
Step 4
4. Bring to the boil, stirring. Reduce heat and cover.
Step 5
5. Simmer gently for 20 minutes.
