Instructions
Step 1
Add the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, turmeric, and cayenne pepper to a food processor or blender.
Step 2
Pulse the mixture a few times to begin breaking down the chickpeas and blending the ingredients.
Step 3
With the food processor or blender running, slowly pour in the olive oil until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
Step 4
If the mixture is too thick, add water a tablespoon at a time until it reaches your desired consistency.
Step 5
Taste the hummus and season with salt and pepper as needed.
Step 6
Serve the hummus immediately, or refrigerate until ready to use.
