Instructions

Step 1
In a saucepan, bring apple cider to boil over high heat, then reduce to simmer..
Step 2
Reduce cider to 1/2 cup, may take 15 minutes or more. Whisk flour. Baking powder, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg in large bowl. Set aside. Whisk together the reduced apple cider, milk, brown sugar, egg, butter and vanilla in medium bowl. Pour liquid mixture into dry and mix till combined, don't overmix.. pour into piping bag or zip lock bag with one corner cut 1/2 inch. Pipe in pan about half full. Bake 8 To 10 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Mix cinnamon and sugar. Melt butter. Dip dounts lightly in butter and roll one at a time in cinnamon sugar.
