Ingredients

1onion
large, chopped

5cloves garlic

2 Tbspolive oil

2 Tbspdried parsley

2 Tbspdried rosemary

2 Tbspthyme

2 x 28 ozcans crushed tomatoes

28 ozcan tomato sauce

1can tomato paste

0.5carrot
grated

1 tspsalt

½ tsppepper

1bay leaf

1 Tbspdried basil

1 tsporegano

1 tspmarjoram

1 Tbspsugar
1 x 24 ozcan water
or beef broth

Red wine

Instructions
Step 1
Saute onion and garlic in oil.
Step 2
Add herbs and saute a little more
Step 3
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper, red wine if using, broth or water, carrot.
Step 4
Taste to see if you need sugar. I RARELY ADD SUGAR!
Step 5
Simmer at least 30 minutes but the longer the better.
