Instructions
Step 1
In a large pot, cook beef and lamb until all the water has been boiled away and meat started to get some crispy browns. It helps to constantly stir to get smaller beef bits.
While this is cooking chop and peel carrots and onion
Step 2
Remove beef from pot and add chopped onion and carrots deglazing bottom with some beef stock cook till onions start to become soft
Step 3
Return beef/lamb to the pot and add beef stock, herbs, ketchup and A LOT of Worcestershire. Cover and let simmer for 40 min
Step 4
Stir in gravy mix and add water if needed
Add peeled and cut yam let simmer for another 20 minutes
Step 5
Make instant mashed potatoes
Step 6
Add frozen peas to beef/lamb mix season with salt and pepper
Step 7
Spread mashed potatoes over beef/lamb, place in oven and broil until potatoes are golden brown
