I had two small bananas that were close to the end of their life, and I used them both. I didn't need a lot of honey ( if you are an extreme sweet tooth, I'd recommend adding more honey if your bananas aren't super ripe ) because the bananas were so sweet already. I also added a cup of caffeine flavored protein powder for my workouts. It tasted amazing! But I could easily drink this with or without the protein powder. I'd argue it's also kid friendly if your child(ren) love bananas.
I work out a lot in the mornings and always struggle with what to eat before training. I just can't do it on an empty stomach anymore, and this made a small breakfast fuel me just enough for the workout. I drink it half an hour before training to give it a little time to digest.
You could easily use this as a pre workout breakfast ( if you're doing just cardio ), a post workout snack, snack in general, or for a small breakfast if you're not big on breakfasts.
