Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 190°C

Topping

Whisk together the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt

Add diced butter and rub butter into the mixture

Refrigerate while preparing filling

Apple filling

Whisk together melted butter and flour
Step 6
Add the water and lemon juice
Step 7
Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon and salt

Add the apples and mix delicately
Step 9
Pour the apple mixture into a 23cm x 23cm buttered baking dish
Step 10
Sprinkle the topping into crumbles over the apples
Step 11
Bake at 190°C for 25 to 30 min
