500glean stewing steak
cut into bite-sized pieces

3 Tbspsmoked sweet paprika

1onion
large, cut into large chunks

1red pepper
deseeded and cut into large chunks

1yellow pepper
deseeded and cut into large chunks

¾ tspgarlic granules

2carrots
medium, cut into 2.5cm chunks

175gpotatoes
medium, peeled and cut into 2.5cm chunks

1 x 400gtin chopped tomatoes

2 Tbsptomato purée

500mlbeef stock
made from 2 beef stock cubes

Instructions
Step 1
Toss the steak in the paprika until well coated. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F), fan 170°C (340°F), gas mark 5.
Step 2
Spray a large casserole dish with cooking spray and place over a medium heat, add the meat and cook for 5 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
Step 3
Return the dish to a medium heat, spray with some cooking spray, then add the onion and peppers. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the start to soften, then return the browned meat to the pan and add the garlic granules, carrots, potatoes, tomato purée, chopped tomatoes and stock. Stir well and bring to the boil, then cover with a tight-fitting lid and cook in the oven for 1½ - 2 hours or until the meat is tender.
Step 4
Taste, and season with salt and pepper if necessary
