13 steps

Who doesn’t like crispy-bottom, juicy pork dumplings? I always make a huge batch and freeze them for busy or lazy days. You can also boil or steam them and add them to soup or noodles. Enjoy!☺️🥟

Instructions

Filling

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except dumpling wrappers.
Step 2
Mix with chopsticks in 1 directly till mixture becomes slightly sticky, about 5 minutes.

Wrap the dumplings

Step 3
Place a dumpling wrapper in your palm, add about 1 Tbsp of filling in center. (Tip for beginners: use less filling to make wrapping easier.)
Step 4
Wet the edges of the wrapper with a bit water.
Step 5
Fold in half and secure the top center by pinching the wrapper together.
Step 6
Squeeze sides of wrapper between thumb & index fingers tightly to secure.
Step 7
Slightly bend toward you.
Step 8
Make sure everything is sealed. Reinforce the edges by pinching if needed.
Step 9
Separate dumplings and make sure they’re not touching each other. Put them on a baking sheet, lined with parchment paper.

Pan fry dumplings

Step 10
Heat 3 Tbsps oil on medium heat in a non-stick pan.
Step 11
Pan fry 20 dumplings for about 2 minutes till bottom is golden brown.
Step 12
Add 1 cup water (or about 1/3 height of the dumplings), cover, cook on medium high for 5-7 minutes. Uncover, cook till water evaporates.
Step 13
Enjoy!
