Step 1
In a large pot, sauté onion, garlic, and seasonings in butter
Step 2
In a large bowl crush tomatoes by hand (this can be done in the pot later but is mush more difficult)
Step 3
Add tomatoes to onions and garlic and bring to medium-high until boiling
Step 4
Once boiling educe to simmer for 2+ hours, tasting and stirring periodically
Step 5
Allow to completely cool before storing
