Instructions

Prepare dough

Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2
Add dough dry ingredients to a mixing bowl and stir together.
Step 3
Add milk and vanilla extract to mixing bowl.
Step 4
Mix with a spoon until dough comes together.
Step 5
Grease the bottom and sides of a deep baking dish with 1 tbsp butter.
Step 6
Spread the dough on the bottom of the baking dish.

Prepare sauce

Step 7
In a mixing bowl, add boiling water to the other sauce ingredients and stir until sugar dissolves.
Step 8
Pour sauce over the dough in the baking dish.
Step 9
Bake uncovered at 325 for 40 minutes.
Step 10
Serve alone, or with ice cream.
