Salisbury Steak

This is an old recipe my mom gave me. It is said to be the original by Dr. J. H. Salisbury created back when it was believed the more beef you ate a day, the better! My family loves it!

Instructions

Step 1
Combine 1st 4 ingredients, make into 4 oval patties and brown on both sides. Drain. Add onion, broth & mushrooms. Heat to boiling, reduce heat cover and simmer until beef is done. Remove beef Pattie’s from pan. Make the slurry and add after bringing onion mixture about 1 minute stirring until sauce thickens. Add meat back to pan and simmer, occasionally spoon gravy over the steaks until ready to serve.
