Preheat oven to 350

In a large bowl, combine sugar, eggs, pumpkin, and oil, mixing well

In a separate bowl, combine flour and other dry ingredients.

Add dry to pumpkin, alternating with milk

Add nuts or other additions, if desired.

Pour into 9x5 loaf pans or smaller

Bake large for 60 minutes and smaller for 40 minutes or until loaf springs back to touch.
