Step 1
Stir together cornmeal, sugar, yeast and warm water. Let sit on counter for 30 mins. Add 1 1/2 cups of flour with salt. Kneed in enough of the flour to make the dough manageable. Divide dough into 8 and shape into rolls using oil on your hands if necessary to prevent sticking. Place on a baking sheet, let rise til double, bake in a 375° oven for 25 -30 minutes.
