sorted and rinsed
2 cupscooked ham
diced
3carrots
½ cuponions
diced
2 ribscelery
including leaves
2cloves garlic
minced
1bay leaf
0.5 sprigsfresh parsley
1 tablespoonseasoned salt
½ teaspoonfresh ground pepper
0.5 quartswater
Fresh croutons
or seasoned, optional
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare ingredients by slicing carrots and celery; chop parsley (about 1/4 cup).
Step 2
Layer ingredients in slow cooker in order listed.
Step 3
Do not stir to mix.
Step 4
Pour water gently over layers .
Step 5
Cover and cook on HIGH 4-5 hours (or LOW 8-10 hours) until peas are soft.
Step 6
Remove bay leaf; mash
Step 7
