I love oranges so this Orange cake is just another beautiful orange flavour. This cake is super moist and once you make it tbh it’s addictive. The perfect way to celebrate this beautiful citrus fruit!

Instructions
Step 1
Start by washing the oranges, then cut very thin slices crosswise.
Step 2
In a saucepan on medium heat, combine water and sugar.
Step 3
Once the mixture comes to a boil, add the sliced oranges to the saucepan and let them simmer for 10- 15 minutes.
Step 4
While the orange slices are simmering, preheat the oven at 180 c.

When sugar syrup is thickened.Remove the saucepan from heat and cool down slightly.
Step 6
In a bowl combine butter and sugar.Make sure butter should be on room temperature, using a whisk or an electric mixer, until the mixture becomes pale and smooth.

Add one egg at a time, while constantly mixing everything together.
Step 8
Add the oil and orange juice, to the mixture.
Step 9
In a separate bowl, whisk the pre sifted flour, baking powder , baking soda, and salt together.
Step 10
Add them in the egg mixture and add In orange zest, then gently mix the dry ingredients.
Step 11
Grease the 7 inch diameter springform pan with oil or butter.then line the bottom and the sides of the pan with parchment paper.
Step 12
Arrange all the syrupy orange slices on the bottom (discard the orange syrup) of the pan.
Step 13
Gently pour the cake batter in the pan, over the orange slices.
Step 14
Place the cake in a oven.Bake the cake for 35-40 minutes or until a inserted skewer comes out clean, from the middle of the cake.
Step 15
Allow the cake to cool off in a tin at least 15 minutes before taking it out.

Remove from cake tin . Cool down completely and Enjoy!
