Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°.
Step 2
Cut bacon package in half down the center.
Step 3
Mix venison, eggs, garlic salt, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, onion and oats by hand until incorporated.
Step 4
Line bottom of loaf pan width-wise with half of the bacon strips, overlapping slightly.
Step 5
Form meat mixture into a loaf shape and place onto bacon. Press down and level out.
Step 6
Layer remaining bacon over meat mixture. Place in oven and bake for 35-40 minutes.
Step 7
While meatloaf is cooking, whisk together the ketchup, mustard, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and smokehouse maple seasoning.
Step 8
At the end of 35-40 minutes, remove meatloaf from oven and smother too with sauce mixture. Place meatloaf back in oven and bake another 5-10 minutes, until semi-firm to the touch.
Step 9
Allow meatloaf to rest about 10 minutes before cutting.
