Badam milk is a popular Indian drink where almonds are blended with milk and flavored with saffron and cardamom. It's a very delicious drink but at the same time it's also very rich both in texture and also in calories.

Ingredients
4 servings

1 litrefull cream milk

5cardamom
elaichi, smashed

5cashew nuts
thinly chopped or powdered

30Almonds
soaked overnight & peeled

2 Tbspsugar

6 TbspSweetened Condensed Milk
adjust as required

Instructions
Step 1
Peel the soaked almonds and thinly chop the cashews.



Step 2
Add some milk to the almond and cashew mixture. Blend it to a paste and set aside.




Step 3
Pour the remaining milk in a large pot and add cardamom. Boil the milk while stirring occasionally and reduce it to half of its original volume. Finally fish out the cardamom from the milk.





Step 4
Now add the almond and cashew paste to the milk. Stir Continuously.
Step 5
Then dissolve the sugar and add condensed milk to the milk mixture. Adjust it to your preferred sweetness. Stir Continuously.


Step 6
Once the preferred consistency is achieved, turn off the stove. Set aside to cool, then refrigerate before serving (It can also be served hot).

Step 7
When serving, garnish with the thinly sliced almonds and pistachios. Optionally mix saffron powder in the mixture before garnishing to give it the yellow colour.
