preheat oven to 350 F.

in a bowl, combine all ingredients for the pecan topping and mix until sugar is dissolved. pour into a bundt pan sprayed with nonstick spray.

in a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients and mix well.
Step 4
for the wet ingredients, first mix the melted butter and sugar until the sugar is well-incorporated. add in the remaining ingredients and whisk until smooth.

add the dry ingredients into the wet, and fold until just combined, making sure not to overmix.
Step 6
evenly spread the batter over the pecan topping and smooth it out. bake for 45-50 mins, or until a toothpick inserted in the cake comes out clean.
Step 7
let cool for about 15 minutes before flipping the cake out onto a serving platter (do this while the cake is still warm, or it will be hard to get out of the pan once cooled.) press any pecans left in the pan back onto the cake.
Step 8
let the cake cool, slice and enjoy!
