Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Butter and flour a 13×9 cake pan. Set aside.

In a large bowl, stir together sugar and flour. Set aside.

In a saucepan, bring the butter, Coca Cola, vegetable oil, and unsweetened cocoa to a boil.

Pour into the flour mixture and beat on medium low for about one minute. Add eggs, buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla and beat for another minute on medium speed.
Step 5
Spread into the 13×9 prepared cake pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center of the cake.

Prepare the frosting. In a saucepan over medium heat, bring butter, cocoa powder, and Coca Cola to JUST boiling. Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla. Pour over cake and spread quickly.

Allow the cake to cool.

Serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
