Instructions

Heat the oven to 350 degrees F, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 3
In a small bowl, combine the butter, sugar, salt, vanilla and egg, and whisk together until smooth.
Step 4
Add the flour and baking soda, and stir until combined.
Step 5
Fold in the chocolate chips, and then transfer the batter onto the cookie sheet.
Step 6
Spread into a circle about 4 inches in diameter. Top with additional chocolate chips if desired, and bake for 8 – 9 minutes, until golden brown around the edges.
Step 7
Remove from the oven, and let cool for about 5 minutes to set before eating.
