Instructions

Step 1
Mix dry ingredients in large mixing bowl
Step 2
Using your fingers or a fork, add water, a little at a time, until a soft dough forms that can be formed into a ball. If it is too sticky you can add flour. DO NOT OVERWORK YOUR DOUGH, as this will make your fry bread tough.
Step 3
Let the dough rest, covered, for 15 to 30 minutes
Step 4
Pinch off pieces of dough about the size of an egg or a lemon, and form into flat, round pancakes.
Step 5
Fry in very hot oil (almost smoking) until golden brown on both sides (About two minutes)
Step 6
Remove to a basket or bowl lined with a cloth napkin (or paper towel) and serve as a bread with your meal, or folded over with taco fillings. I enjoy them as a dessert, too, with powdered sugar or honey. ENJOY!
