Honey Oat Breakfast Bread (Bread Machine Recipe)
5 steps
Prep:3hCook:35min
Perfect bread for a quick & easy breakfast. It has a bagel-like texture and is delicious with butter and jam or my toddler’s favorite - cream cheese and lox. This recipe makes a 1.5 pound loaf. I separated my dough into 6 and baked it in a mini loaf pan so I could freeze and use as needed.

Instructions
Step 1
Add all of the ingredients to your bread machine in the order listed.
Step 2
You can make this entirely in the bread machine by putting it on the white bread setting, and letting it go. Just select the 1.5 pound setting, and medium crust. It will do everything include baking it, but I like to bake mine into loaf pans to get a prettier shape. So I set my bread machine on the dough setting, and after about an hour it has kneaded and gone through a first rise.
Step 3
Note: I like to check my dough as it is kneading in the machine. If your dough seems too dry add 1/8 cup more warm buttermilk at a time until it is able to form into a dough ball. I ended up adding 1/4 cup extra buttermilk when I made it.
Step 4
After the dough as risen, take it out of the machine and place it in a greased bread loaf pan. I used a 6 loaf mini pan. Place it in a 90 degree F oven for about 30 minutes, or until doubles in size.
Step 5
Bake the bread at 350F for about 30-35 minutes. Baking times may very. Remove from oven and enjoy!
