Instructions

Step 1
Mix 2 cups of warm water and bullion cubes in a small pot. Turn on low heat and let cubes dissolve.
Step 2
Once broth is ready, add to crock pot and then add chicken.
Step 3
Set to poultry setting and let cook (15 minute default setting is fine; it will spend a few minutes heating up before the 15 minutes begin). Keep the steam vent closed while cooking.
Step 4
For sauce, in a medium pot melt butter and add flour to make a roux. It will be small and clumpy, but don't worry because it will dissolve in the milk.
Step 5
Next, add half a cup of milk to temper the roux and milk. Once whisked and warmed add the rest of the milk, cheese, salt, pepper, parsley, and bay leaf.
Step 6
Allow the sauce to simmer gently for about 6-8 minutes and set aside. Stir often to keep cheese from burning on bottom of pot.
Step 7
Once chicken is done, put two Tbsp of the chicken broth into the sauce and whisk it together. Strain the rest of the broth from the chicken. Put the chicken back into the crockpot and add in the now finished Parmesan garlic sauce. Set crock pot to keep warm for 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes are up, it's ready to serve.
