Instructions

Step 1
Turn the crockpot on high and add the red beans, white beans, kidney beans, Goya Sofrito tomato cooking base, diced tomatoes, and chili kit mix. There are three individual packets in the kit; add all of them. Stir ingredients together.
Step 2
In a skillet on the stove over medium heat, brown hamburger until cooked. Add hamburger to crockpot and stir together.
Step 3
Finely chop the white onion, I prefer to use a manual chopper. Sauté onions over medium heat in the same skillet until softened, you may need to add a little olive oil if not enough oil residue from the hamburger. Add cooked onion to the crockpot and stir together.
Step 4
Cook on high for two hours, then cook on low for two hours, I recommend stirring once an hour. You can cook up to eight hours. You may need to add liquid (water or beef broth) to thin the chili out the longer you cook it.
