Set the oven to 190°C/375°F/Gas Mark 5

Fill 2 muffin trays with paper cases.

Sieve the flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl.

Beat the eggs and add them to the bowl with the butter, sugar and vanilla essence.

Whisk until the mixture is creamy. If the mixture drops off a spoon easily in a dollop, then it's ready.

Put a teaspoon of mixture in each paper case.
Step 7
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool on a cooling rack.
