These are the easiest sticky rice balls to make! You can use other flavors aside from pandan if you prefer. If you omit the sugar, you'll need more glutinous rice flour to compensate.

Instructions

Step 1
In a bowl, mix together the glutinous rice flour, salt, and sugar.
Step 2
Add the water and pandan extract, and mix with chopsticks until it starts to form a dough. Knead the dough with your hands until smooth.
Step 3
Take a small piece of the dough and roll it between your fingers to form a ball. Place it on a plastic wrap-lined plate, and repeat until all the dough is used.
Step 4
In a medium pot, boil enough water so the glutinous rice balls can be fully submerged.
Step 5
Once boiling, place the glutinous rice balls in the water and wait until they float. Wait a few minutes before removing them from the water.
Step 6
Use the rice balls in a dessert, or add extra sweetener to enjoy.

For storing:

Step 7
Place the cooked rice balls in a bowl and fill with cold water, which can be stored up to two days in the fridge.
