Step 1
Add 350mL (1.5 cups) milk and 1/2 tsp ground cardamom to saucepan. Heat to just below boiling.
Step 2
Remove from heat and add 50g butter.
Step 3
In a mixing bowl, combine 500g (3 cups) bread flour, 75g sugar, 7g yeast, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.

Add cardamom milk, and mix until soft, sticky dough forms.
Step 5
Let rise until doubled in size (about 1-2 hours).
Filling

In a mixing bowl, mix 1-1/2tsp ground cardamom, 150g (2/3 cups) turbinado sugar, with 150g (10.5 tbsp) butter.
Final Prep

Roll dough out into roughly a 12x20 sheet. Spread filling evenly over entire sheet.
Step 8
Fold into thirds, and cut into 12-16 equal strips.
Step 9
Twist strips into rolls, place each on a baking sheet.
Step 10
Brush with egg, and let sit for 30min.
Step 11
Bake for 20 minutes at 375.
Glaze
Step 12
Cool and lightly glaze. Sprinkle with swedish pearl sugar while glaze is still sticky.
