Turkish Delight
A very, very sweet Eastern delicacy that contains hardly any protein. We made this Turkish Delight with orange juice, but you can also make it with strawberry or cherry juice or any other fruit juice you like. Keep them out of the fridge to keep them dry. Afiyet olsun; Enjoy!

Instructions
Step 1
Dissolve the 250g sugar into the orange & lemon juice, over medium-low heat.
Step 2
Mix the cornstarch with the water, until a paste/slurry forms. Then, add the mixture into the orange, lemon, and sugar mixture slowly, until it is all incorporated.
Step 3
Keep stirring for about 15 minutes. Halfway through, add the food coloring. Continue to stir until a thick, lumpy paste forms.
Step 4
Line a food storage container with wax paper. Spoon the thick paste into the container, smoothing the top with a spoon dipped in water. Place in the fridge for 4 hours.
Step 5
Mix together the cornstarch and powdered sugar for topping. Sprinkle some of this mixture onto a cutting surface. Lift the sweets from the container using the wax/parchment paper, and flip over directly onto the dusted surface. Cut the sweets into 1” (2.5cm) cubes, and use the rest of the powdered sugar mixture to make sure that none of the cubes is sticky anymore.
Step 6
Enjoy!!
